 Business Analyst Entry Level -- Houston
The overall objective of the Business Analyst position is to provide management with actionable business intelligence so that decision making is optimized through innovative and accurate reporting and analysis. The Business Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining key operational reports for the company's management teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Validate and analyze sales data to identify trends, problems areas, and opportunities for improving customer experience.
  • Develop reports and contribute to reporting solutions for decision makers. Manage recurring reporting deliverables, including ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Assist in defining the business requirements for reporting solutions.
  • Provide high level analysis on data trends and identify areas for further analysis.
  • Success in this area will depend on strong reporting and analysis skills, project management, communication, organizational and time management skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to create SQL queries and have skills in the areas of data analysis and report automation.
  • Experience with SQL Reporting Services (essential), Analysis Services, SharePoint and Report design.
  • Knowledge of developing queries for different databases such as SQL, Access, etc.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, SQL querying, database structures, OLAP, DTS (Pivot Tables, Data Analysis Tool Pack).

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree, Business, MIS, Engineering or related area.
