Senior Storage Architect -- Houston
About the Job
We are seeking an individual with proven experience in planning, architecting, and delivering high value IT solutions for our mid- to enterprise-level accounts throughout the Texas region. This candidate will be involved in presales engagement activities as well as hands on implementation.
In addition to the technical requirements, the candidate must understand the business value of implementing these solutions. Your ability to clearly communicate various solutions to the client through formal presentations, document deliverables and manage expectations will be key to your success.
Minimum Required Experience and Education:
- 6+ years of strong storage installation and administration experience in an Enterprise environment with in depth knowledge of one or more of the following vendors/technologies:
EMC, NetApp, HP, or Hitach
- Storage solutions
- Backup solutions - including VTL, software (NetBackup or Networker, etc.), replication and deduplication
- Data de-duplication
- Cisco or Brocade Fibre Switch technologies
- Must have 4+ years of strong backup administration experience with in depth knowledge of software/hardware solutions
- Must be familiar with NFS & CIFS protocols
- Familiarity with array based and IP replication & snapshot techniques and technologies
- Strong knowledge of virtualization – VMWare, XenServer, and/or Microsoft
- Solid understanding of core network routing and switching
- Previous consulting experience a plus
