HOUSTON, TX, MARCH 10, 2009 -- Thanks to a recent clarification of requirement 6.6 in version 1.2 of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), online retailers and other businesses that accept credit card payments over the Internet no longer have to conduct time-consuming and costly code reviews of their public-facing web applications as the only alternative to implementing a web application firewall.
