ITIP Step 1 — Consulting:  Where do you want to go and why?

When we begin an engagement, our first step is to determine where you want to go and why you are moving in that direction. We want to get a clear idea of your goals and the path you're planning on taking to achieve those goals. During this step, we discuss technology alternatives, outline costs and benefits, and examine the organizational impact of change.

• Is this a strategic, tactical, or operational issue?
• Is this a people, process, or technology problem?
• What are the technology alternatives?
• What are the costs and risks associated with each alternative?
• What are the business benefits of this new initiative?
